Portsmouth Deanery Youth Chaplaincy: Volunteer Co-ordinator & Creative Engagement Practitioner (part-time roles)

job-vacancies-550x210.ashx Exciting opportunities are available for two people* with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people. The Portsmouth Deanery Youth Chaplaincy Project aims to support the Church of England’s engagement with young people in this area, through volunteering and creating opportunities for the exploration of themes and issues which draw on a Christian ethos. We are seeking a part-time Volunteer Co-ordinator and a part-time Creative Engagement Practitioner to oversee this work. Currently active in three local secondary schools and two FE colleges, the project is supported by churches from across the city.  The postholders will join a small group of committed volunteers, and be supported by a Steering Group which is enthusiastic about the potential for touching the lives of young people through our presence and care.
